I created this brand because, no matter the space I entered, people always chose to let my accent or the way I look determine how they would see me. I never cared for that standard. I live life knowing everyone is different, and every person has a God-given talent to enhance our worldly experience. So, if you thought I was from the hood because of how I might talk or even sometimes look, yes, I am. I am from the hood and while the hood has its tarnishing things, it also has community and love. So, yeah, I know I’m from the hood and I work to become the best version of myself daily because I don’t want to be the negative product of my environment.

I want to be one of the great ones who come back to build the community so every little girl and boy in those same hoods can flourish and become their God-given gifts because society is going to be a better place because they make it out as the best version of themselves. So please stop telling people who you want them to be and let them show you. I don’t love that society creates hoods intentionally to say people are less than or whatever excuse they like to use. I love the hood because I know the most genuine people come out of them and most times it is not easy. So, when you see people from the hood all over the world, you just know they are meant to be in every space because they are great because of what it took for them to grow from the environment.
